In *Derive*, sound materials originally created for the stage, cinema, and installations are extracted from their original contexts and reshuffled: themes, electronic textures, and fragments of soundscapes are shifted, distorted, and layered, as if returning to a state of pure potential. The result is a series of lateral paths, sudden detours, and utopian shipwrecks, where what was once background noise or emotional underscoring now becomes the primary subject.

Martinuz, alongside the musicians and collaborators of the band **Eraclea**, intertwines theatrical work with musical practice: melodic lines, rhythmic patterns, and echoes of scenic environments are re-inhabited as "missed songs" or sketches of discarded soundtracks. *Derive* references stages of his career but detaches them from their dramaturgical function to place them under a purely sonic lens. The listener is invited to follow these "drifts" (*derive*) as a narrative without images, allowing timbres, dynamics, and spatialization to suggest places, bodies, and gestures. In this way, *Derive* becomes a living archive of unrealized possibilities, where each piece reveals its previous history while opening up entirely new scenarios.
