From now on, they are the mistresses of the harem, yet they are willing to share and invite us to immerse ourselves with them in the space of our own sensations... In Turn On, the Swiss dancer and choreographer of Moroccan origin, Soraya Leïla Emery, uses her dual culture as a prism through which she interrogates the experience of female pleasure. Accompanied by two other artists who, like her, have been shaped and educated by two different identities. Drawing on a range of physical techniques from dance and martial arts, as well as Orientalist representations, they explore the concepts of the gaze and consent. In a shifting space, constantly reshaped by light and sound, where they move both individually and together, each affirms her own place with strength and delicacy. They liberate themselves.
