His famous opera, *Conchiglia fossile*, admired by Andrea Zanzotto, influenced the development of the italian opera, narrating everyday reality, towards the movement of the Crepuscolari. Master of Antonio Fogazzaro and Vittoria Aganoor Pompilij, he was in contact with numerous writers and he spoke about his beloved Veneto landscape, in the moment in which the textile industrialization started to transform its appearence, entering into the complex world of the industrial dynasties, between the Roi of Vicenza and the Rossi of Schio. **NOTES** **entrance Via Zanella 213 west entry**
