Aganis is a composition for two voices and live electronics. It comes from a sound research in some caves of the Venetian pre-Alps that were said to be inhabited by the anguane, mythological figures connected to the water sources, with voices inaudible to the human ear. Aganis takes the form of an immersive quadraphonic installation inhabited by the performers and the audience; a space for listening in which to widen the ear and welcome the voices of the mythical figures. A search for connection with the inaudibility of their cry, with the unheard, the ignored or the imagined. Activating an imaginary that passes through the damp and dark holes they inhabit, touching inhuman and mineral voices, until it becomes a host space for the anguane and their shelters.
