The floodings of Polesine in 1951 and the private history of a contemporary woman merge in this piece about what's lost and what stays.

Autumn 1951: it rains. The flood of the Po river breaks its banks and the Polesine becomes a huge lake of 70 square kilometers. You flee without being able to choose what to bring, you flee to be able come back, you come back to start over.
Autumn 2021: it's raining. A woman is grappling with yet another move, scans the rooms, and she decides to take everything away. All that she has.
The monologue intertwines the two stories, natural tragedy and personal tragedy: loss, bewilderment, fleeing one's homes on the one hand; separations, removals, mortgages on the other.

Two stories that come to merge together, a reflection on voluntary uprooting and involuntary, about the big and small events that change our lives that opens up to the question: Would it ever be possible for us to truly lose everything? A reflection on loss, on possession, on what remains.
