With Abracadabra, Babilonia Teatri explores magic's ability—whether real or imagined—to subvert the laws of nature, questioning if its imagery can also impact the end. Because death is both commonplace and unheard of, and so is magic. Funeral rites are rituals, and so are magical rites.
On stage, a real magician (Francesco Scimeni), alongside an actress (Emanuela Villagrossi) and the directors themselves, will captivate the audience with a story told through words and images, where bodies confront the temporary nature of their presence. It's a narrative where the ultimate magic trick—the final disappearance—will be conjured through prestidigitation.
