concept and interpretation Eloy Cruz del Prado Sound Ghaith Kween Qoutainy
Good Job, Good Boy II is a performance on the themes of intimacy, imagination, family structures and class differences. Starting from personal memories, Eloy Cruz del Prado explores the continuous search for validation that comes through work; combining auto-fiction and repetition, the artist draws attention to the mechanisms that shape the sense of self-esteem, identity and social belonging. Through the representation of three characters (the grandfather, the mule and the author himself), the performance highlights how personal experiences intersect with broader social structures and shared narratives.
Eloy Cruz del Prado (born 1992 in Cenicientos, Madrid) is a visual artist and performer based in Amsterdam. Graduated in Fine Arts and Design, his practice mainly embraces the languages of performance, installation, video and sculpture.
