The Eos Quartet, formed in 2016, immediately drew the attention of the musical world for its freshness and depth of interpretation, winning the 2018 Farulli Prize from the Italian Music Critics Association as part of the prestigious Abbiati Prize. Awarded in major international competitions, the quartet regularly performs for the most important European musical institutions, often collaborating with prestigious ensembles and celebrated musicians.

The Eos Quartet presents a program that, moving from Classicism to Romanticism—from Haydn to Schumann—reveals the evolution of the dialogue between the parts, from formal balance to emotional density. These are two visions of the quartet which, half a century apart, recount the evolution of European chamber music language. Franz Joseph Haydn's String Quartet in D minor, Op. 76 No. 2, combines classical rigor and dramatic tension, building an incisive discourse starting from the famous fifths motif, developed with rigorous coherence. The result is an exemplary synthesis of expressive tension and formal clarity in the mature classical style. In the String Quartet No. 1 in A minor, Op. 41 No. 1, Robert Schumann transforms the quartet into a vehicle for intense lyrical expression and inner restlessness. Merging classical form with Romantic lyricism through strong cohesion and contrapuntal writing, he alternates dramatic tension with expressive cantabile, maintaining a balanced dialogue between the instruments alongside a Romantic impetus full of sparkling surprises.
