National Premiere

The research behind Scented Panther begins with themes of disappearance and extinction, leading to a choreographic investigation into the resistance and persistence of bodies that leave traces. The figure of the scented panther, an ancient medieval allegory, becomes the emblem of an elusive animality—capable of evoking both strength and seduction, attracting without ever fully surrendering itself. A creature symbolizing embodied poetry, it expresses power, sweetness, and ferocity all at once, rarely revealing itself to the human eye. Those who claim to have seen it are likely mistaken.

These elements translate into an essential choreographic and performative solo that explores the plasticity of a body capable of evoking the echo of an animal presence. The work focuses on a slow, hypnotic transformation of the body, which progressively incorporates and modifies defining elements to evoke an imaginary wildness.
