Nel nido (In the Nest) tells the story of what happens in the mind when identity dissociates and shatters. Is there a cure for this fracture and, if so, what is its limit? Shirley Jackson's novel The Bird’s Nest becomes the starting point for investigating the blurring of the self and the multitudes that inhabit it.

Within Elizabeth, four girls coexist, each with her own voice, memory, and perception of time and space, committed to claiming their own identity over the others. But who is Elizabeth, truly?

The impossibility of an answer leads to the atrocious solution of an actual murder. Through the reflections of the psychoanalyst, the desire emerges to eliminate every aspect of the feminine—considered ill or disturbed—to give life to a new being. From the ashes of Lizzie, Beth, Betsy, and Bess, Victoria is born: devoid of emotions and memory, a "hollow vessel" to be filled at will. Nel nido draws inspiration from the original title and contains the central knot of the dramaturgy: the "inside" of an unhatched egg, of an individual who does not yet possess their own "language."
