E’ l'ultimo lavoro di James Batchelor, uno dei più interessanti giovani coreografi australiani. Ultimo di 3 lavori nati dall'esperienza come artista ufficiale in una spedizione scientifica nel mare antartico dove, su una piattaforma in costante movimento, la semplice ricerca della stabilità era un compito in sé. Da qui il lavoro su come il corpo percepisce e misura l'ignoto, un posto misterioso e romantico per Batchelor.
HYPERSPACE is the latest work by James Batchelor, one of Australia’s most intriguing young choreographers. This is the last of 3 creations resulting from James’ experience as an official voyage artist on a scientific expedition in the sub-Antarctic sea, where searching for stillness and stability on a constantly moving platform was "work". Since the expedition, James has been questioning how the body senses, measures and maps the unknown, a mysterious but romantic place.
