Can I be a chameleon? And if so, what would it look like if I transform into different colours? In Chameleon, choreographer/dancer Joseph Simon researches the different movement languages he himself embodies. Some languages are hard to master, others are spoken by many or closely related to each other. By asking himself if it is possible to clearly distinguish the different languages his body holds, Joseph takes the audience on a surprising, physical journey.

VIBES PROTOCOL #3 is a vibrant and explorative choreographic audio experience that guides users through different body states and diverse soundscapes. The Journey will bring participants to re-connect mind and body, creating awareness and expand the senses through the support of an external input and the people in close surrounding. This choreography and sound exploration activates a perceptive body through a given urban space, from intimacy and individuality to common pathways and collective belonging.
Part of the project Dancing Museums – the Democracy of Beings funded by Creative Europe Operaestate Festival Veneto co-production
Final event of the European project Dancing museums – the Democracy of Beings, funded by the European Union program Creative Europe. The three year-long research project aimed at developing relationships and collaborations between dance organisations, museums, universities and communities of different territories, as well as creating original, inclusive and sustainable projects focused on inhabiting the spaces of traditional museums. In this final event, the artistic creations developed during the artists’ journeys will be presented.
The Swans Never Die project invites the audience and the artists to think of The Dying Swan, a solo that is considered a milestone in twentieth-century dance history, as an opportunity to explore the diverse transformations that the dance went through since it was first choreographed by Fokine for Anna Pavlova in 1905. The partner institutions of the project propose a joint programme (live and online) and invites to discover the multiple possibilities of re-tracing a timeless choreographic work through its contemporary re-interpretations. Following the journey between the history and memory of dance, the audience will be able to discover in what kind of bodies a choreographic work from the past survives, who collects its legacy and why, and which values this choreographic work could transmit today and in the future.
