Wayson Poon Contemporary Dance Project 2019 ~ 2021: Phonate Il coreografo e danzatore di Honk Kong Wayson Poon continua a Bassano del Grappa il percorso di ricerca per la sua creazione Phonate, che verrà presentata per la prima volta ad Helsinki nel 2021. Wayson Poon si dedica all'esplorazione e allo sviluppo di un linguaggio motorio che sia unico per ciascun corpo. Guidati dal "Qi" delle scritture Taoiste, da Liquid Body e Five Rhytms, i movimenti e le creazioni di Wayson combinano lo spirito orientale alla metodologia occidentale e decodificano l'essenza del corpo sotto diversi aspetti. Con Phonate, Wayson osserva la realtà della società contemporanea nell'ottica della filosofia asiatica, e rivela i punti ciechi della vita urbana attraverso la danza e atti artistici cross-media, destando così la consapevolezza della gente e offrendo la possibilità di fare marcia indietro. Wayson Poon ha lavorato in Europa e in Asia come coreografo, interprete, ricercatore e educatore. Entrando in contatto con varie culture, le sue creazioni studiano i linguaggi della danza a più livelli e portano alla luce gli accordi armoniosi di vari elementi. Si è dedicato all'esplorazione del significato dei suoi lavori, sviluppando una serie di assoli nel contesto della danza contemporaneo. I suoi lavori più conosciuti comprendono Behind 3.0, Untitled, Fleeing by Night, in,visible(cities); and Vortex. Poon ha guidato laboratori sulla propria ricerca sul corpo in tutto il mondo, tra cui anche a ilYoung (Svezia), Bath Spa University (Regno Unito), Asia Dance Project (Corea), Melbourne Festival (Australia), Chengdu Yuan-shu Contemporary Dance Space (Cina) and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HK). Ha ottenuto il Hong Kong Arts Development Award for Young Artist (Dance) nel 2016.       Hong Kong choreographer and dancer Wayson Poon continues his research project for his creation "Phonate", which will premiere in Helsinki in October 2021. Wayson Poon dedicates himself to exploring and developing a movement language that is unique to everyone's body. Guided by "Qi" from Taoist scriptures, Liquid Body and Five Rhythms, Wayson's movement and creations have combined oriental spirit and western methodology, and deciphered the essence of body from different aspects.  In Phonate, Wayson observes the reality of contemporary society from the perspective of Asian philosophy, and opens the blind spots of urban life with dance and cross-media artistic actions, thus awakening people's awareness and providing the possibility of turning around. Wayson Poon has worked in Europe and Asia as a choreographer, performer, researcher and educator. Due to the impacts of various cultures, his works have combined oriental spirit and western methodology, deciphered the essence of body from different aspects, studied the language of dance from several levels and brought out the harmonious chord in the vibration of many elements. He has dedicated himself to exploration of the meaning in his works and a variety of solo dance pieces in the context of contemporary dance. Notable works include Behind 3.0, Untitled, Fleeing by Night, in,visible(cities); and Vortex. His works have appeared in a number of different areas, Hong Kong Arts Festival publications and tours. Poon has led workshops on his body research across the world, including at ilYoung (Sweden), Bath Spa University (UK), Asia Dance Project (Korea), Melbourne Festival (Australia), Chengdu Yuan-shu Contemporary Dance Space (China) and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HK). He received the Hong Kong Arts Development Award for Young Artist (Dance) in 2016.
